The man behind La Piazza al Forno in Glendale and La Piazza PHX in downtown Phoenix is opening his third pizzeria this summer.

Piazza Romana, coming to Gateway Pavilions in Avondale, will be the Valley's first pizzeria dedicated to Roman-style pizza al taglio.

“Look in New York. The top pizzerias right now are all Roman style,” Piazza says. “I think Arizona’s ready for it.”
